Building a new home is an exciting time and a new experience for most people. As you are going through the entire process, questions will come up. Our team is here to not only answer those questions but help in any way we can, while our design center specialists will help guide you as you make your various design choices.
As we’ve worked with our incredible clients, these are some of the most frequently asked questions about the design center and your design center appointment.
A: The very best way to prepare for your appointment is to come and browse. The design center staff will have a pricing guide specific to your plan. This guide will provide pricing for most options. While browsing, you will have the opportunity to work with our samples. With cabinet door styles, flooring, countertops, and decorative tiles available, you can try different combinations until you find the one that is right for you. We are open for browsing on Saturdays from 9 to 4 pm and are located at 890 W Elliot Rd, Suite 101 Gilbert. The Design Center is located in Villa Siena, a Tuscan style event center just in from the NW corner of Cooper and Elliot roads.
Q: How long will my design appointment take?
A: Design Appointments are usually 4 to 5 hours, but this will depend on you. Some homeowners make decisions very quickly and can finish up in a few hours. Others may take longer if they weren’t able to browse or if extensive tile work is being planned.
Q: I work during the week, why can’t I have an appointment on Saturday at the Design Center?
A: We keep Saturdays for browsing so that our designers are available to answer questions for multiple groups. You can browse as many Saturdays as you like until your appointment. During the week, your designer will be working exclusively with you and you’ll have the design center to yourself. If there is more than one buyer on your contract, one of you can attend the design appointment and the absent person can DocuSign.
Q: Can I bring the kids to the design center?
A: It is best to organize childcare, so your full attention is on the design appointment. Building a new home and choosing finishes is an exciting experience and not something we do every day. There are many heavy objects in the design center such as tiles, faucets, and cabinet doors. These are not secured and could be dangerous if pulled down by a child.
Q: Do we get a lunch break?
A: Lunch is up to you; some homeowners prefer to work straight through while others enjoy the time to reflect on their decisions. Your designer can direct you to many local options.
